The Experience
A slow, romantic evening — captured beautifully
Whether you're planning a proposal in Gatlinburg, an engagement session in Pigeon Forge, or portraits along the Foothills Parkway, every couple is guided with care from the first message to your final gallery.
Why couples choose me
A calm, unhurried session led by someone who has photographed hundreds of Smoky Mountain couples. The images feel like you — not a Pinterest board.
Beautiful hidden locations
Quiet meadows, moss-lined forest trails, and private overlooks the crowds never find. I'll pair the perfect location to your style and the season.
Up to 2 hours of coverage
Time to breathe, laugh, walk, and settle into the evening. We move at your pace — never a rushed forty minutes at sunset.
Multiple locations available
Sessions typically include two locations within a short drive: a soft golden meadow, then a dramatic mountain overlook for the final light.
100+ edited images
Every session delivers a minimum of 100 hand-edited, high-resolution photographs in a private online gallery with full print release.
Outfit guidance
A personalized wardrobe guide with palettes, textures, and mood boards tailored to the Smokies' soft light and your chosen locations.

Planning your Smoky Mountain engagement session
- Where do you photograph engagement sessions in the Smoky Mountains?
- I photograph engagement sessions throughout Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Wears Valley, Townsend, Cades Cove, the Foothills Parkway, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Each session includes location scouting based on your style, driving comfort, and the time of year.
- How long is an engagement photo session?
- Sessions include up to 2 hours of coverage — enough time to visit multiple locations, change outfits if you'd like, and settle into the evening without feeling rushed. Most couples book at golden hour ending at sunset.
- How many photos do we receive?
- You'll receive a minimum of 100 professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered through a private online gallery with a print release. Turnaround is typically 3–4 weeks.
- Can we visit multiple locations during our engagement session?
- Yes. Two locations within a short drive of each other is standard — for example, a wildflower meadow followed by a Foothills Parkway overlook. If you'd like more locations or a wider itinerary, we can plan that too.
- Do you help with outfit choices?
- Absolutely. Every couple receives a detailed wardrobe guide with color palettes, fabric suggestions, and mood boards tailored to the Smokies' soft, blue-green light. Long flowing dresses and layered earth tones photograph beautifully here.
- Do you photograph proposals in the Smoky Mountains?
- Yes — proposal photography is one of my favorite things to plan. I'll help you scout a private spot, hide discreetly, and capture the moment as it unfolds. Most proposal shoots roll straight into an engagement session immediately after.
- When should we book an engagement photographer in Gatlinburg?
- For peak fall (October) and spring wildflower season, book 6–9 months out. For other times of year, 2–3 months of lead time is usually enough. Weekday evenings often have last-minute availability.
- How much does a Smoky Mountain engagement session cost?
- Engagement sessions start at $650 and include planning, up to 2 hours of coverage, multiple locations, a private online gallery, and 100+ edited images. Custom packages and add-ons are available.
